Beethoven On Screen

Beethoven's life journey has been brought to theaters for several times now, so let's take a moment to mention some of the films that features the great Beethoven, hopefully it could draw us back to where Beethoven used to belong.
beethoven
Eroica is a 1949 Austrian film depicting life and works of Beethoven (Ewald Balser), which also entered into the 1949 Cannes Film Festival. The film is directed by Walter Kolm-Veltée, produced by Guido Bagier with Walter Kolm-Veltée and written by Walter Kolm-Veltée with Franz Tassié.
In 1962, Walt Disney produced a made-for-television and extremely fictionalised life of Beethoven titled The Magnificent Rebel. The film was given a two-part premiere on the Walt Disney anthology television series and released to theatres in Europe. It starred Karlheinz Böhm as Beethoven.
In 1994 a film about Beethoven (Gary Oldman) titled Immortal Beloved was written and directed by Bernard Rose. The story follows Beethoven's secretary and first biographer, Anton Schindler (portrayed by Jeroen Krabbé), as he attempts to ascertain the true identity of the Unsterbliche Geliebte (Immortal Beloved) addressed in three letters found in the late composer's private papers. Schindler journeys throughout the Austrian Empire, interviewing women who might be potential candidates, as well as through Beethoven's own tumultuous life. Filming took place in the Czech cities of Prague and Kromeriz and the Zentralfriedhof in Vienna, Austria, between 23 May and 29 July 1994.
In 2003 a made-for-television BBC/Opus Arte film Eroica was released, with Ian Hart as Beethoven and the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique conducted by Sir John Eliot Gardiner performing the Eroica Symphony in its entirety. The subject of the film is the first performance of the Eroica Symphony in 1804 at the palace of Prince Lobkowitz (played by Jack Davenport).

A movie titled Copying Beethoven was released in 2006, starring Ed Harris as Beethoven. This film was a fictionalised account of Beethoven's last days, and his struggle to produce his Ninth Symphony before he died.

Beethoven is a musician that is considered the best by the current bests, even when he's already gone way back, that's who Beethoven is.

Beethoven’s Loss Of Hearing Frustation

Beethoven’s loss of hearing affected his normal daily life because music was the foundation of his lifestyle and his source of income. Unfortunately, in his time there were not as many treatment options for those with hearing impairments. Nearly everyone is familiar with Beethoven’s many symphonies and other classical master pieces he composed filling the world with beautiful music. In fact, Beethoven’s works are still widely admired and revered today. However, what makes Beethoven’s works even more admirable is Beethoven’s loss of hearing. Deafness greatly frustrated him especially towards the end of his life as it became harder and harder for him to perform. This is due to increased loss of his capability to hear high and moderate frequency sounds while performing.
beethoven
It is widely attributed that Beethoven’s loss of hearing was actually what is today known as tinnitus. This means that Beethoven’s loss of hearing was most likely caused by a loud constant ringing in his ears that drowned out his ability to hear any sound. Due to the primitive time period in which Beethoven lived, there were not yet any aids to help him deal with his loss of hearing. Thus Beethoven was forced to suffer in silence as he tried to continue performing live in concert halls.
beethovenThere are many people who attribute Beethoven’s loss of hearing to syphilis or to hereditary factors. as the records are somewhat blurred and it is hard to pinpoint now what may have caused the condition. It is also rumored that Beethoven’s loss of hearing may have actually started when he was a child as unilateral hearing loss that would come and go. Some evidence exists to support this. However, the records are somewhat blurred and it is hard to pinpoint now what may have caused the condition.

beethovenToday, the only actual recorded information that is available regarding Beethoven’s loss of hearing is the journal that he kept. This is a great source to utilize in understanding the way Beethoven perceived sound and music, but not as a resource to study his hearing impairment itself.

Beethoven’s loss of hearing caused him great distress as performing was not only his way of earning a living and the one thing he was known for, but was his whole life. Still he continued throughout his life to write music for others to perform, even when he could no longer perform it himself.

Similarly, if you are told you suffer hearing loss; you may be depressed as well. However, there are more treatment options available today than Beethoven’s time, so you should not let your diagnosis hinder your life, and from now on be wisely like Beethoven.

Beethoven's Mini Biography

The life of Beethoven began in Germany in the city of Bonn in December 1770. He was born right into a musical family, which was used for the court at that time, as mentioned in a nice little accounts of the biography of Beethoven.

Young Years
Early Ludwig was healthy and happy. His father was a moderately successful at the time. Beethoven's grandfather was there for moral support and money too. When Beethoven was five years old, the family moved to the street of the Rhine. The Rhine fascinated the young Ludwig. Even in this age people can see his great ability to focus completely as a "lot indicated in writing their biography of Beethoven.
beethoven biographyIn 1778 he gave his first public concert in Cologne, which is registered for the first shall we say. His father claimed to 6 years, however, trying to make it look a lot more talent. When Ludwig was 12 published the first of his works. Then in 1787, Prince Maximilian Franz appreciated the talent of Beethoven, who sent to train with Mozart in Vienna. The trip was interrupted when Ludwig was informed that her mother was at the door of death and found it necessary to return to Bonn. His mother died in July of this year, as reported by some other accounts of the biography of Beethoven.

Continuing Education

In 1792, Beethoven returned to Vienna to help promote his musical training. He had lessons with Hayden, Albrechtsberger coupled with Salieri. Vienna was amazed and fascinated by his virtuosity and his improvisations with a piano. Beethoven composed Opus 1 in 1794. The following year he made his first public performance in Vienna. Then he shot a "lot of the city before a concert in Budapest, according to many different accounts for a biography of Beethoven.

Enter your own and deafness
beethoven biography
His first concert was originally introduced in 1800 in a concert of Beethoven had planned (such as the biography of Beethoven). Some have found that the sound is somewhat "extravagant and strange, as if it were classical works of Mozart and Haydn. Ludwig was still young and exploring how to push the boundaries musically. Then in 1801, Ludwig said his friends were becoming deaf.
Beethoven simply not let the loss of his hearing in his quest to stop the music though. He did so after saying they have learned to stop practicing the piano in public, though. He just pours in its composition after that. Most of his best works are actually very composed when he was struggling with deafness (reported in many accounts of Beethoven's biography).

Full potential of

It reached its full potential at the time of 1805 and 1815. In many theories of his symphonies were composed with the Symphony IV, with many piano concertos and quartets openings. In 1815, Ludwig's brother, Karl Kasper, has died. Beethoven and his brother married "should be joint custody of his son Karl. However, Beethoven fought and finally won the office that care because of inability to be the boy's mother (known in many reproductions of the biography of Beethoven points).
Ludwig Academy in May 1824 saw the premiere of the Symphony No. 9. In fact, it was a complete success. In fact, the performance was memorable and the value of this biography of Beethoven.

Beethoven In His Young Days

Aside from all Beethoven's success story in my previous post, for this time lets just take a look at Beethoven as a young man, before all the success and everything else.

After the death of his mother, Beethoven had become head of the family and his father were just sitting in the pub drinking.
beethoven

After the death of his mother, Beethoven had become head of the family. His father did nothing but drink sitting in the pub, his older brother was lazy, his younger brother was too young to help, and her sister was still a small child. He got a job as a violist in the orchestra of the court, and therefore could not provide all that he loved his family very much. In 1792, when he was 22, Beethoven moved to Vienna, where his house for the rest of his life. In Vienna, the first years were difficult.

beethoven
Beethoven had very little money, and lived in an attic. Then the Prince and Princess Lichnowsky invite him to come live in their house, which he did willingly. He played music all the time, but he was best known as a pianist. His compositions have no attention until 1800, when he was searching 30Article and his First Symphony was played. Since 1798, Beethoven had occasionally found it difficult to hear what he said. He realized that he always deaf. It was during this time of grief, he wrote these masterpieces of mourning his Sonata Pathetique and Sonata in D.

Beethoven And Women

beethovenBeethoven had a difficult history with the women in his life. His mother was by all accounts a very affectionate and attractive women, which was the opposite of his violent alcoholic father. Beethoven lost his mother shortly consumption in his first trip to Vienna and there must be a terribly depressing time for him to have been in such a young age.

It has never been married and it's fair to say that Beethoven's romantic relationships are something of a mystery to this day. He certainly have relationships with women, but everyone has to do with Beethoven often rejected in preference for another man in marriage.

In the only true and meaningful relationship, for which we have found evidence in 1812, the year of the infamous "Immortal Beloved" letter that Beethoven wrote passionately a lover unknown. It is clear that Beethoven was in love with this woman, and we can through his words that his passion and anger overflow and in his music.
Beethoven had a very high ideal was a noble mind, some authors suggest that this is why he never successful with women, always expect too much from them, and love. This kind of perfection and nobility could never be lived in real life by anyone under the age of a saint.

To illustrate the humor of Beethoven, in this regard, we have the story where he discovers that his brother was with a woman he was not married rooms. In Beethoven's rage, threatened to report them to authorities when she got married and took his threats seriously, they did.

Of course, some of the most memorable gestures and romantic of the great geniuses are found in the music he wrote for the woman he loved. His heart is able to express through his native language of music is really amazing. That is Beethoven *_^

Beethoven's Success Story is Not An Easy One

beethovenBeethoven was born on 16 December 1770 born in Bonn, Germany. His father was a singer in the local choir palace. Beethoven's father was a very simple, and he was addicted to gambling. However, his mother was a pretty meek and mild female. She was married as an assistant with Beethoven's father married her first marriage, when her ex-husband died.Beethoven no access to school for the simple reason that his family was very poor on the way.

However, he had a special feeling for music when he was very young. His father wanted to use his opportunities to make a large fortune. As a result, Beethoven had to practice violin and harpsichord, day and night under pressure from his father.
Beethoven had a performance on stage for the first time when he was only seven years, and considered a great success. Some famous musicians him as the second Mozart. Beethoven learned to compose music from Nifo and published his first book called Concerto in A minor, when he was 11. He went to Vienna to learn to compose music of Mozart and Haydn. It seems to have a pretty good future, when Beethoven was the first success in 1800. Nevertheless, it was a terrible year ago that time.h find it a deaf person concerned. There was nothing worse than being a musician. He sank into a blue mood for a long time after.

Beethoven was a passionate heart time.but all his enthusiasm was often unhappy. It has often tolerated both hope and enthusiasm, disappointment and strength. There was no doubt that all those emotions have become a single source of creation. He fell in love with Julia in 1801 and has composed music specifically for them called Moonlight. To her disappointment, she could not understand his noble soul and denied. Beethoven was furious and desperate for it, and married a Count did not take long.
beethovenIt was a desperate moment for him and for a time, he wrote a paper from his estate. He came to life in the years 1803 and composed some music bright and warm the second symphonies. Therefore, the most beautiful and wonderful music produced. Some of them are pretty famous and I think you must have heard that the Eroica and the storm.Beethoven completed his masterpiece called The Ninth Symphony in 1823. It seems that God grieved over his death.Beethoven's funeral was quite serious and grand. It is estimated that more than 20 000 people brought to his funeral. The richness of Beethoven and success in music was huge and old. There are some people who can outdo his expertise in music production. It is a great musician for us and we will miss him forever and cherish his works, ciao Ludwig Van Beethoven.

Beethoven's Personality

beethoven personalityFor the world of the most famous classical composers of today are certainly Mozart and Beethoven. In this article we will include a careful examination of the person to comment on the composer - Beethoven. His life story twists and turns a very interesting read and supported by the soundtrack of his music shows him to be a true and rare genius.

It is well known that Beethoven was a strong personality and first-hand many of his colleagues, was quite difficult, a time to get understand with, or in fact. No doubt, deafness large Mans and his obsession to hide the fact, contributed to his behavior seems strange and stubborn.

Through his music, it is clear to see for the whole world that he was a man of noble and lofty thoughts and ideals, even if his personal treatment of several of his colleagues was particularly scathing critics and moralists, to say the less. Known to be a stubborn man his time living in the house of Prince Lichnowsky's house a select group of people allowed him to intimate that most of them know in advance.
beethoven personality
It would be contrary to the common protocol and too late for dinner, do not care about time or the label of punctuality. Many accounts note his clothes, and how often it appears unkempt and unshaven. For Beethoven, born in a noble was no real value and should give you right to remove any automatically obtain, were the things that a person had to gain by their conduct in life.

The fact that the hearing had begun to disappear, still young and with a bright future as a pianist performing in front of him can not be underestimated. In its efforts to hide his infirmity there was no doubt peoples opinion of him as a strange, awkward, and a hermit. This fact is primarily responsible for the behavior of both Beethoven in his later years, especially after 1801, when he finally agreed that his condition was incurable.

How The Music of Beethoven is Composed

How The Music of Beethoven is ComposedThe composition of Beethoven can be found easily and simply, as is the case with other composers such as Mozart or Schubert. The process of musical composition was often not experiencing many scribbles, messages and wrote the play before it is finally over.
It is one of the things that makes it difficult to keep them in time to keep track of his various works in progress, as it is not organized and most people had, in fact, the support of a male secretary to him in his various affairs.

He was known for often walk in the woods on the outskirts of Vienna, and every summer is the country where he spent more time on foot. He enjoyed nature and would make a notebook and pencil with him to achieve his excursions listed, melodic ideas and sketches vague musical structures. If you look at the writing of Beethoven, it is quite difficult to decipher and difficult to read, especially in the informal sketches.

How The Music of Beethoven is Composed Much of what seemed innocent at first, would eventually become scribble in majestic symphonies, concertos and sonatas. It seems that Beethoven come to mind with the idea spontaneously, but will need time to pregnancy would begin before the rewrite. It would be rewritten again and again and again until it is perfect.

This process is in stark contrast to Mozart, where the parts were already perfect in the head before he even finished putting on paper, in reality, it was easy to write what he had already finished composing.

These facts Beethoven, no less or more a composer than Mozart - only that the process of how it was set up very differently. In any case, but the results were just as sublime.

Who is Ludwig Van Beethoven ?

who is ludwig van beethoven
Ludwig van Beethoven was baptized December 17, 1770 in Bonn. His family was originally from Brabant, Belgium. His father was a musician at the Court of Bonn, with a penchant for drinking. Her mother has always been described as a gentle, self-effacing and considerate. Beethoven said of her that she was "her best friend." Beethoven family had seven children, but only three boys survived, of which Ludwig was the eldest.
Early on, Ludwig is interested in music, and his father taught him day and night, when he gets home after practice or the tavern. The gift of children is no doubt, and his father Johann plans to make a new Mozart, a child prodigy.
On March 26, 1778, at the age of seven and a half, Beethoven made his first public concert known in Cologne. For the occasion, his father announced that he had six. Because of this, think Beethoven always be younger than in reality. Even much later, when he receives a copy of his baptismal certificate, he believes that this is his brother Ludwig Maria was born two years before him, died in infancy. But the teaching ability and musical father is limited. Ludwig soon learn music, especially the organ and composition with renowned musicians such as Christian Gottlob Neefe. It will totally aware of the extraordinary abilities of Beethoven. He will also know, beyond music, ancient and modern philosophers.
In 1782, during its twelfth year, that Beethoven published his first work: 9 variations, in C minor for piano on a march by Ernst Christoph Dressler (WoO 63). And that the following year, in 1783, that Neefe wrote in the "Magazine of Music", about his student: "If it continues, it will undoubtedly be a new Mozart."

who is ludwig van beethoven
In June 1784, on the recommendations of Neefe, Ludwig was appointed organist at the court of Maximilian Franz, Elector of Cologne. He did not then fourteen. This site allows him to attend a different environment than that of his family and friends of his father. He meets the friends he keeps all his life: family Ries, von Breuning family and the charming Eleonore, Karl Amenda, the violinist, Franz Gerhard Wegeler, doctor friend who will also go to Vienna, etc..
At home, little by little, Ludwig replaced his father. Financially at first, because Johann, often tipsy, are less able to take his place in the home and office at the Court. The young Beethoven feels responsible for his two brothers, and he will assume this responsibility all his life, even to the extreme.
Aware also of the gift of Beethoven is at his expense that the Prince Maximilian Franz sent to Vienna in 1787 to meet Mozart and hone his musical education. Vienna was then the city's flagship musical culture. The meeting between Mozart and Beethoven, there are only texts to the truth uncertain. Mozart would have said "Remember this name, you will hear".
who is ludwig van beethoven

But a letter recalls Beethoven in Bonn: his mother is dying. The only member of his family with whom he had established a relationship strong and loving each other off July 17, 1787.
Five years later, in 1792, Beethoven off again in Vienna, receiving an annuity provided by the Elector for two years, always to develop his musical education. He will never see his home town. His friend Waldstein wrote to him saying: "... Get hands of the spirit of Haydn Mozart" ...
In Vienna, the young musician took lessons with Haydn, then with Albrechtsberger and Salieri. It astonishes and seduces Vienna by his virtuosity and his improvisations on the piano. In 1794, Beethoven composed his opus 1, three trios for piano. The following year, Beethoven had his first public performance in Vienna (an "Academy") in which he plays his own works. Then will follow a tour: Prague, Dresden, Leipzig and Berlin before leaving for a concert in Budapest.

That is all you need to know about the great Beethoven.
